I made this quilt for my niece Sara who is expecting her first baby. She likes traditional styles and I am going through a bit of a vintage/reproduction phase as well, so I thought these traditional stars would be great. I adapted the pattern for layer cakes because I love to work with precut fabric. It makes fabric selection so easy and you save money because you don’t buy a lot of extra fabric. The quilt also works great with fat quarters or 1/4 yard cuts.Finished size is 41″ x 52″Fabric Requirements:28 layer cake squares (10″ squares) OR 12 Fat Quarters4 to 6 fat quarters of various cream background fabrics OR 1 1/8 yards of one cream background fabric2 3/4 yards of fabric for backing1/2 yard for binding
